As the title suggests, I just signed up.

I was under the impression that I'd be emailed some stuff, not shipped anything. I'm worried that perhaps I signed up to the wrong one even though it does say "iPhone Developer Program" for 99 bucks

    What get sent to me?

btw, I didn't just sign up for the beta but rather I'm looking to develop some apps for the iPhone.

Ignore the shipping references. Everything is done online (unless you signed up as a company, then you may need to fax Apple some business info). You'll get emails and download files through the developer website.

Thanks, I finally got the email,

unfortunately when I went to activate my account, it failed with a message stating:
I shot off an email, but being the weekend, I'll have to wait till next week :/

Was the name you used to sign up the same name as on your credit card? If not, that's probably the issue.

Does the info on your credit card match the info you supplied Apple for your developer account? I've heard that's what can cause this identity-verification issue.

Maybe you logged in with the wrong account? You have to use exactly the same ADC login and email address as the one you used to apply and pay the $99.

That's probably what it is. My name on the credit card had my middle initial where as the account name did not.

My ADC login is my appleid which is my email address so there's little chance of my getting it wrong. I've belonged to ADC (the free version) for years so I don't think it was that. Thanks anyways :)

I also just signed up today. They should get fairly quickly, only took a couple of hours for me. Although in the UK its strangely enough a tad cheaper, ended up paying just for £57 ($87) - don't know why. Maybe you selected that you had previously signed up for the developer stuff when you hadn't, or your contact details are incorrect, or your credit card details.

Just a head's up, I didnt know that you could do this but to install OS4.0, once downloaded you need to extract it and then alt-click on the check for updates button in iTunes. Had to search around for a bit to find out how to install it:eek:

I'm probably going to hold off on installing 40 until its a bit more stable. Getting and developing the SDK is my first order of business.
