I've just sold my iphone 4 to put funds aside for the new iphone. I managed to sell it for £320 which isn't too bad for a 16gb thats 14 months old and has no warranty.

I'm now using a nokia 1661 and looks like I will be for at least 2 months (hoping the new iphone comes out soon!)

:apple:

I've been considering selling mine as well, but I have no back-up phone and quite honestly, I'm still very content with the iPhone 4 (of course I'm sure the iPhone 5 will change that) so for the time being, I'll stick with it.

Congrats! Welcome to the waiting crew! You made the most possible, and you won't be disappointed with the 5! Here's hoping 1 more month..

Let's hope so. Hoping it will be released before i go on holiday for 3 weeks :D:apple:

Got offered £390 for mine
Tempted

Are you SERIOUS! That works out to 627 Canadian dollars. The 16GB iPhone 4 retails for 659 here.

The resale value for a 16GB in my town is about $400 CDN (240 GBP). $450 (279 GBP) for a 32GB.

There's only one feature I care about: HSPA+.

It's the only reason I'm not getting an iPhone 4 right now...

Are you that broke that you have to sell way ahead before the 5 is released.

He is being smart about it, once the fifth iPhone is released the current one's value will drop sharply.

He sold it right on time, congrats OP.

Best iPhone's to buy have been:
3G
4
6 in 2012.

Not as smart to get the original, 3GS or 5.

You make out better in the every other model purchase.

Actually, it's not smart for you to say that the even upgrades of the iPhone is the 'best'.

If the recent rumours end up being true, which from the looks of it just might be so. Then the iPhone 5 is the biggest upgrade the iPhone has ever gotten, which proves your statement false.

Not broke at all. It makes more sense to sell early and get a better return instead of losing more money once the 5 as been released! Common sense!

True but what, you have no phone for a month or 2?

I have no iPhone for a month or two but I've gone back to a dumb phone lol.ndid the same last year before the 4 released.

I don't think so. The 3G was horrible. It's so slow it's pretty much unusable. The 3Gs is still pretty good by today's standards, running iOS4 like a boss.

Broke? Some people don't see the point in paying a crap load of money for just a phone. There are more Important things to spend money on first. The way he is doing it is the smart way IMO

Initially, I also considered selling my Iphone 4 in order to buy an all new Iphone 5. But then i found myself too addicted to the phone that I can't convince myself to sell it. So now I'm planning to first buy the new Iphone 5 and then decide whether I want to sell the old one or not.
