I just upgraded to snow leopard and also installed ilife '11 on my imac. So far I really like a lot of the features. I just noticed the computer was running sluggish so i opened activity monitor and the "qtplayerhelper" was running the highest. After quitting that process I noticed the numbers dropped low. What is qtplayerhelper and what causes that to shoot up like that.

On the fence
It has something to do with quicktime player. Chances are it was just updating or something of that nature. I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens constantly.
