stock in stores must be great cause I walked in and got a black 7 plus easily. Kinda crap for those waiting for preorders. Had no plans to upgrade but couldn't resist.

Anyone with preorders I would check local store and maybe cancel preorder?

Yes its a sample poll, but it still means its not as wide-spread of an issue. For the record, my 7Plus and my GF's 7 don't hiss.

seems like there are a lot of the 32gb MB models available in stores. The 128/256 are the more sought after models. It's not impossible to get a higher store model but more difficult than the 32

I have checked everyday, several times a day, for the model I ordered. Its never been in stock at any store within 5 hours driving time from me (7 Plus, Black, 256GB). I'm stuck waiting on my pre-order.

And check your local Target store as well. Not many people are thinking about Target, and you might be pleasantly surprised - as I was.

I did the same. Had a preorder that ended up saying I would get around October 10-24. Checked online with my local Apple Store and was able to reserve one. Cancelled my order and was able to walk out of the store with one. Didn't have black at my store though. Went with gold. 32gb

I have 6. I woke up to order on launch night and changed my mind on the last screen. I agree, I feel like orders should be fulfilled first.

Same...refreshing all day. Arizona has totally sucked for getting stock in stores compared with other areas.
