You're lucky then. I pre-ordered on October 8th and mine is back ordered and I may have to wait weeks to get it. Pre-ordering these things is pointless obviously.

Walked in at 11 AM. The store had every models in stock. I mean everything. They were handing out the cards. I saw at least 600 cards left with every iPhones combined.

Apple was definitely prepared for this launch.

Btw, AT&T server was down for a long time.

Kudos to apple and F AT&T.

iPhone 4S running...

I am sure my local stock still have some in stock.

Yeh I was curious about why so many people are camping out in lines etc. That happened before in South FL with even the 3GS and especially 4. I have 3 friends whom have just walked in various diff stores and walked right out with a 4S and said they were only a little more busy then normal.

went to the Staten Island, NY store around 12, got my #, was 4th on line..waited for about 15 minutes, not sure what was going on but all 10 people waiting were given bottled water and snack (very neat, apple juice would have been cooler), got in and out in less than 5, almost done restoring from my backup.

seems like they had all types available...overheard someone say that the local AT&T store run out of the 16GB white.

Best buy for my 4s no problems with AT&T out in ten minutes walked over to the AT&T store in the same shopping center and traded in my wife's 3GS we bought 3 weeks ago and got her the 99 doller 8gb 4 they has plent of 32 gb versions but were out of 16gb

Thanks! Was not planning to get a 4s because I thought that the upgrade was not that big for the hassle! Lol but with no hassle I did it.

The gal at best buy said they has two people in line this morning said she heard apple store was busier. Told her that is why I never go to the apple store on the first day!
