Heck, I felt like that going from the 6 to the 6S Plus, huge difference.

I guess for me to feel the "wow" factor I will need to hold off until 8S.

6 -> 6s = meh

Going from the 6+ to the 6S+ is the biggest upgrade I've ever made. Bigger than the i4 to the i5, and most certainly bigger than the i5 to the 6+. It's the first time that an iPhone has become what I want it to be. No compromises, it does everything that I ask of it.

Yeah the 1 GB of ram on the original 6+ was almost unforgivable. I can't believe how bad it was under iOS 9 (its first major update!). The only iOS device more underpowered was the iPad 3, which stuttered from day 1.

I went from the 4S to the 6S+ and it is shocking how quickly I adapted. I struggle to use my iPod touch now because of how tiny the screen feels.

The battery life is great too. It still feels weird being able to actually use my phone all day without having to worry about battery drain. As much as I loved my 4S, it had earned its retirement!

Yeah, so far the battery has been impressive. Went to bed last night and woke up with only 3% gone.

I can go even one better. I went from a flip-phone circa 2005 to a 6s!

That should be interesting! My wife gets my 4s so I'm trying not to gloat about the speed of the 6s. But for her coming from a small Tracfone there will be a lot of change ac well, but it should be just fine.

I also went from the 4S---> 6S+ and can share the sentiments. Though to be fair nothing actually surprised me, I tried out a lot of phones during the 4 year hiatus but just ultimately stuck with my 4S because it did everything I needed it to do. However, it is still a welcome upgrade and nice to finally own a new phone that exceeded my expectations.

I will beat that :p I'm going from a 4 on iOS 6 to a 6S...

I'm glad your upgrade went well, as I'm hoping mine will.

Holy cow. Well welcome to 2015. :D Those are some updates you guys underwent. Good luck with the new phones.

@DomC A word of advice, I would keep down the rhetoric on how great the 6s is, or you may be getting another one off-contract.o_O

I know exactly how you feel. My last iPhone was an iPhone 4. Got a 6S Plus, and it's a completely different game now.

What a jump!

Perhaps the biggest jump I can think of was going from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 6 Plus (taking into account maximum support for iOS versions).

I remember going from a 3Gs to a 5s...

Those who upgrade every year will never know what it's like to experience such a significant upgrade.

I was ready to buy an iphone last year, but no way was I going to buy one w/only a 1gig of memory.

So I guess everyone wins...she will enjoy the 4s, and you and I get to play with the 6s!
