Wow. What a keynote.

Apple gave the iPad almost everything we wanted. It's more of a desktop replacement than ever and headed absolutely in the right direction.

I'm planning on buying an iPad Pro next now as my main device. My files now have a home. My workflow now possible with much less frustration on iOS.

We didn't even have much of a clue! About anything announced really. This is the real, Steve Jobs era Apple coming back!!! Innovative new products, features AND technologies.

Anybody else just god damn over the moon with iOS 11 on iPad? I know I am!!!!!!

the ios11 updates to the ipad was definitely highlight of the event.

Though I think they really bombed on the fact only the 10" pro was updated (unless im mistaken). The new refresh rate and other hardware updates are not coming to the existing 12" pro??? WHY??

I'm pretty sure they mentioned at one point that all of those features are coming to both size iPad Pros.

Not so sure about much of the rest of the event but the IOS updates for iPad are extremely welcome and a long time coming. I'm glad they decided to move forward with Pencil functionality as well.

the new refresh rate and other hardware updates can't come to existing 12"; what are they gonna do, send a tech over and upgrade the ipad in your house?

the updates will however come to the 12(.9)" 2017 ipads. is that what you meant?

Very impressed with IOS 11. The only thing I wanted was more software announcements though am really looking forward to Infinity Photo. Not sure if I will buy a new Ipad Pro though.

Sorry, but I'm about to be that guy...

Android has had these features for years.

*Dodges tomatoes* :D

Apple - in its traditional fashion - does it better.

Bet you said 'LG already had a touch screen phone' when the iPhone first dropped ;)

My 12.5" PC Ultrabook just became a paperweight and is going up for sale. iOS 11 is everything I needed and wanted on my Pro.

My ThinkPad will be following soon ...

Clearly the latter is what i meant... But good to hear confirmations that they are coming to both of the sizes?? I must have missed it.

Hit this keynote out the park; and to be honest after last dud this was great to see, I credit Apple for making us step our game up and it was good to get some of that old Apple magic feeling today.

Fantastic keynote and that ipad is the one to buy!

What I find particularly interesting is that they are sticking with the 10 hour clock that they've had from the very first iPad.

Sorry folks, but after watching that lackluster keynote my yawning indicates I need a nap or a bit of excitement ...

Upgrade my Mini 4? No.
Upgrade my rMB? No.
iOS 11? Well, there is hope but the new App Store look is seriously ugh!.

Not feeling the love.

It's always been a marketing spec. Every model including from the mini to the Pro has the same battery run time. The reality is in the benchmarks.

I was seeing that the 10.5 was capable of 300mbps and the 12.9 150mbps. It did not list LTE Advanced on the 12.9 at that time.

Now the specs on the info page has been totally redone from 20 minutes ago. This was prior to the scrolling page with the black background. When the page had a white background.

Quick question, how much should I sell my E470 with 1080p screen , discrete gpu and SSD for? Month and a half old.
Probably around $750-$900. The E series seem to depreciate really fast. It also depends on Processor, RAM, and the size of the SSD. I picked up a E560 with a Skylake i7, 8GB, 256GB SSD and dedicated graphics earlier this year new in box for only $450.

The auditorium didn't seem to get beyond "golf clap" range, but there were some cool updates. The high horsepower iMacs sort of give pause about an update to the Mac Pro next year.

I'll take the redesign of the app launcher/sidebar thingy. That is an annoying disaster in iOS 10.
