I went on the site as soon as it went live and couldn’t believe they posted the ram specs for the iPad Pro. This thing is going to be awesome. The only negative I see is that battery life wasn’t improved. Will be interesting to see if my less power hungry use helps eek out more time.

Agreed! And there was talk about Parallels or some virtualization apps coming to the iPad… that seems inevitable come June. Imagine being able to run Windows or macOS natively on the iPad.

This also means that 4 and 6 GB RAM iPad pro are not going to age well,and that now the pro is on another level compared to the air, not just a more premium device

The screen alone makes the new 12.9 as heavy as the second gen 12.9, so a bigger battery would push the weight even further...

Been saying this for years. Every year WWDC comes and goes with maybe one new feature for iPadOS. Still waiting for it to use all this power, and it’s just got a ridiculous jump. I’m hoping ipados 15 changes that, but I’m not putting money on it this time.

What are you doing on an iPad that requires those sort of specs? MacOS, or a huge iPadOS update, yeah I could see it being a laptop killer.

Agreed on both points. The iPad Pros were in a weird spot since the new iPad Air came out. It's now solidly back in a level-above the Air all-around.

It would be fantastic to basically have a virtual Surface Pro X on my portable iMac...I mean iPad Pro.
