I bought a gig of K-Byte ram from my 12" pb today from Bestbuy and i am suddenly wondering if it was the right move. Betsbuy dude assured me that it would work and that everything is hunkydory with it. Anyone ever heard of it? it was almost the same price as the Kingston ram but they were outta stock on that one. ANd does 3rd party Ram void my warranty? Guess i should read the old Apple fine print!!!

"This warranty does not apply: (a) to damage caused by use with non-Apple products"

uh oh... should i be using Apple ram only??

Did you get that assurance in writing!!! 😱
If it doesnt work, take it back.

3rd Party RAM WONT void your APPLE Warranty.
But if you start having problems with it TAKE out the RAM and test it as it was stock before calling up apple.
They will not be as easy to deal with if they find out that you put other RAM in it.

You can get RAM from any supplier, good ones are:
Crucial.com
Chipmerchant.com
Macmall.com

its bestbuy! they take anything back so im not worried. Thanks tho! im gonna give r a go! (the website says it supports Apple so...)
