What's the point of this if it can't charge your Macbook at 29w? Kanex battery pack maxes out at 15w, which is the same as the Anker PowerCore+. There's no reason to get the Kanex over the Anker.

Or maybe Apple could have added a few millimeters to the thickness and given it a bigger internal battery. I'd gladly add the weight for more battery life, vs. carrying around some aburdly bulky thing like this.
The MacBook battery is fine with me. I prefer the thinness and lightness. A battery pack like this is useful for transatlantic/transpacific flights, but is not something I'd travel with very often.

Perhaps MagSafe would not work well because of the light weight. iPads have never had them, for instance.
Until they added the Smart Connector to the iPad Pro, which is possible to charge the iPad with.

Do you have any good choices? From my experience, some less expensive and/or smaller options often times don't hold a charge and aren't nearly as efficient.

haven't had any comparison but I am using the "easyacc powerbank" for my iPhone. What I especially like is that there is a short lightning cable directly plugged into it. I haven't used it often, but when I used it was usually still fully loaded.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.

Xiaomi's Xiaomi pro does the exact same thing and only costs $22 USD. I'm using it right now to charge my USB C macbook

Looks awesome too. Only difference is its 10000 mah instead of 15000. But that isn't worth the $78 price difference
