AliveCor has the app called Kardia. While this app is meant to be used with an FDA approved device, the Kardia Mobile ($99) or the KardiaBand ($199), it will work as a very accurate live pulse monitor. The app is free but without a premium subscription ($9.99 month / $99 year) the Apple Watch service will not continue to work.
I have several other pulse tracking apps but this one is the most accurate that I've encountered. There is a negative side. It is pretty heavy on the battery usage. I have the Apple Watch Series 3 Nike LTE and it used 30% overnight tracking.
I have other pulse tracking apps installed. Cardiogram, Heart Analyzer, and HeartWatch. All three are good apps but Kardia to be a lot more refined and tracks automatically. Are there any apps that you use to monitor your pulse rate? Care to share opinions about them?
