I used this lanolin and mink oil product on my KAVAJ cases to keep it soft and restore the suppleness in the cover edge ( shows some normal cracking/creases).

Leaves no oily residue and does not darken the color. Also used it on my Apple case. Got the recommendation from KAVAJ's webpage.

Also leaves a nice leather smell.

Duragloss 221 White Creamy Leather Conditioner - 8 oz.
Available from Amazon.

I just tried and got three cards in the back pocket and one in the front.when you put cards in the back pocket it tightens up the front pocket but you could put A couple cards in the back pocket and Some bills in the front or put business cards in one of the pockets.

Any issues with the stitching coming undone on this Kavaj case? I bought several of the same style cases but in both colors for my husband's and my iPads. As much as I love their leather and simple style, all those cases would have the stitching fray and come undone where the cover bends by the IPad. The company was super awesome with customer sevice and replacements but the same problem with stitching would happen after a short time. I ended up putting some clear glue on the stitching to keep it from fraying.

I've had my KAVAJ iPad case for 3 months, using it a lot, and it has been fine. I see one thread frayed, but not undone. The drop of glue is a good idea.

Haven't used the iPhone case as long. 2 months. But I could see it wearing faster. Time will tell.

How is the flap when you fold it back? Is one handed use comfortable?

It works pretty well. The flap doesn't fold flat against the back, but it kind of nestles in your palm. It's pretty comfortable, actually...

Once the case has been used enough it will lay completely flat, more than the photo above, on its own.

Good to know! I wondered about that :) I haven't had the case that long...

Less than a month of daily use. I think the leather conditioning cream help soften the edge too.
Did the cream cause any color change to the leather? I've never used any product like that before...

Not that I could see. It was very very slightly darker at first when wet, but it dried fine.

Nice! How long did it take to get flat, do you know?

Kristin

Going to try that leather product. Found it on ebay for 11.94,shipped

Having the flip cover fold flat made a great difference in laying on the table and holding in the hand.

Btw, have either of you also noticed how well the cover cleans the screen of fingerprints and dust? I think this is a great feature, overlooked or not mentioned. When I carry the case in my hand, I suppose the pressure of my hand on the cover helps in that process— it also feels more secure to hold.

I'm just amazed at the difference between a standard case and this flip one in this self cleaning process. It overcomes any occasion inconveniences of using a flip case.

The flip also affords for me a full coverage screen protector.

Hope the leather cream is useful for you. Be certain not to get cream on the microfiber though :)
