Asked the exact same question in the iPhone forum, but those who own the 3T...

I'm on my second iPhone, after a 6 Plus. Nine months in on the 6S but frankly I'm bored. I was Android prior to my 6 Plus - which I bought in 2015 and now considering the 3T, but two things are holding me back; the cost and whether I'd actually miss iOS. I can buy the 3T outright, but then I'll have to finish paying off the 6S as well as having just paid out for the 3T. Or I can buy the 3T, sell the 6S on eBay, those funds would cover the cost of the 3T, then I'd just pay off the iPhone as normal.

Second option being my better option but what does the iPhone 6S have that the 3T doesn't, and can justify me keeping it? Costs aside.

Was the 3T an 'upgrade' for you over iPhone?

If buying a new phone is going to incur any financial hardship then no.

Outside of finances, I would suggest buying the One 3T, if you do not like it - sell it on or return it. If you do like it, you can then later decided whether to sell the 6S or not.

No one here can tell you what 'you' prefer. It's something that is personal to you and only you.

The 3T is a great phone and offers fantastic value for money. If you want an Android flagship on a budget then it's absolutely one of the contenders. Over the 6S it offers a bigger (and better) screen, faster charging and the Android o/s, but that's about it. Your 6S offers a better camera and iOS. Swapping would be a personal choice.

I have been using a OP3 and a 6S for a couple months and I would pick the OP3 for everything EXCEPT messaging. Everyone I am in frequent contact with uses iOS so they prefer to use iMessage (I don't blame them, it is a great messaging platform) and so it is the only thing I miss when using my OP3. It is a real pain in the butt to get people to download and use other messaging services. I realize the iMessage popularity is really only US though so it may be different where you are and who you hang out with. It is such a loss for me that I haven't even sold my 6S yet. I am still torn between which to keep.

That always baffles me when Android phones have a bigger market share in the US. I would just use SMS or Messenger in your situation, everyone has FB.

If you can afford to sell the iPhone 6S, pay off what you owe, and then buy the OP3T on special financing then you should go for it. Idk if they offer 6 months zero interest. The OP3T will be a huge upgrade because of the AMOLED screen, better RAM quantity, better FP Scanner, dash charging, etc.

Fwiw on the messaging platform SMS is so basic and not encrypted and I don't use FB. My friends' kid just got a 3t I'm waiting to check it out.

The 3T is a very good phone...one of the best in the mid-price range.

Sadly, not an option for me w/Verizon.

Just wanted to point out I only need to finish paying the iPhone off for two more months, so £70, hence me considering the 3T.

Which I bought. Love it.

Couple of things I miss, 3D Touch, mainly the cursor ability, and a couple of apps; Autodesk Graphic particularly, but I've bought TouchDraw, seems comparable. Hardly used iMessage as prefer WhatsApp, and Facetime? WhatsApp does video calling.

Love the screen, customisation, split screen, size (same screen size as 7+ but smaller overall), AMOLED, gestures - I'm pleased with it. Gonna try Android Pay a bit later, assume it works in pretty much the same places where Apple Pay is. Fingerprint scanner is SO fast.

And Dash charge. That was a big selling point.

Not selling the 6S just yet, but other than a couple of apps and features, don't miss it. Especially since this has features the iPhone didn't have. It's nice to have my phone separate to my iMac too, hated them linking up all the time when on WiFi.

I never tried the 3T but there has been people complaining about the touch latency. I went the Pixel route, vs the 3T, I think I lose on battery life mostly.

I ordered the 3T, like the phone, and for the price it's amazing, but the camera is nowhere as good as my 6S. Tried it for 2 days but I'm reluctant to give up my iPhone. No problem with Android, just I just can't get a good photo on my 3T unless the subject is perfectly still, or I start messing about with the shutter speed in manual mode. And that defeats the point of have a point and shoot camera on my phone.

Sent off a ticket to OnePlus, will decide over the next day or so if I wanna keep or order the Pixel. I imagine it'd be similar battery life due to the FHD screen and optimisations Google has done.
