I have heard many people say that keeping alot of folders on the desktop
slows down your Mac because of Memory usage..., but how about keeping
1 folder on the desktop called "Stuff", Would that also slow down the computer, if the "stuff" folder was 1 GB ?

In other words, is it the amount of folders or the size of the folders, that matters ??

    thanks!

ok, but then does it also hog RAM, if the 1 folder is 5 GB...?
