After upgrading to ios 10.3 I began getting messages on my lock screen about turning on two-factor authentication and a red #1 showed on my settings icon. First it happened on my iphone and I was able to clear it - though I can't remember exactly what I did. Now the message and red #1 is back on my iphone and my ipad and I can't clear them. I do not want to turn on authentication and I do not want the messages - any idea how to stop this?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Go to settings, select iCloud, select turn on two factor. You will then see three choices, one of which is "not now". Select it and both the reminders and the settings badge will go away.

Thanks - that did the trick, for now anyway. I think that is how I got it to go away a few days ago - hopefully it won't start up again.

Yep, I never did like two-factor. I know the why's, just not for me. What I suggested was how I got rid of the pop ups and badge on my wife's 7+. On my 7+, I activated it and then canceled it. Haven't had the pop up problem since I did that.

Yeah Ive had the same pop up 3 times (I keep clearing it) since I installed the beta last week, its as though it doesn't want to except I don't wanna use the 2 factor.

Hope this is a bug on beta 1, as I my opinion it shouldn't keep asking you every few days once you've opted out.

I hope this is a bug because I don't want to keep having it pop up. So far I've had it 5 times and every time I say not now. This is kind of like Facebook try to force me to use messenger. If I choose no that should be the end of it.
