Just about the title says. I got the HomePod 2 a few days ago. I had a mini previously and my use case is on my nightstand to listen to my TV in my bedroom. I found the HomePod mini wasn’t loud enough. The HomePod 2 is great and it sounds great of course, but for the money I’m just debating sending it back and getting another HomePod mini. Thoughts with anybody who has two HomePod minis and also got the HomePod 2? Is the noise level comparable?

I would keep the HomePod. I had minis in my bedroom and the difference between the two is really noticeable. I am glad I spent the extra money and got the HomePods.

I've been through a similar scenario: I originally had one first-generation HomePod and eventually switched to two HomePod minis. My opinion is "stereo anything is better than mono everything," so I definitely think it's a better deal to pay less simply to have two sound sources. (However, I can't comment on the relative noise levels – most of the time, my volume levels are below 50%.)

I have two sets of the Minis and OHP. They are set up in Stereo. BUt if I would have to decide between a pair of Minis and just one HomePod, I would go with the HomePod.

my 2 home-pods mini's BLIE fill up my bedroom with great sound playing music and movies
they replaced a Bose soundtouch.
