Your thoughts on this? Should I keep it unique like the first picture or stay true to the vintage logo (second picture)?

Keep it, you'll thank yourself that your computer is different from everyone else's macbook, especially as more macs are being sold 😀

Note: Unless it doesn't light up, in which case I would say take it out, or swap for a transparent color gel.
 
Did the mod last night. Took 3 hours. I will post a DIY thread with detailed pictures tonight. Stay tuned.

Please vote which you like more.
 
If you like it, keep it. I personally like it because it makes the Mac stand out.

If it doesn't light up, I wouldn't keep it, however.


One thing I noticed (not trying to be a jerk) is that it looks like the top of your Apple is missing a green stripe, going right into the yellow. I compared the two pics you posted and the one is different. I wouldn't fret over that though, it looks great!

I'm glad you took the plunge doing something so dramatic to your computer. It might even score you some points if you wanted to sell it on eBay.

That was the reason why I ask if I should keep it unique or change it to the vintage Apple logo. Yes, it does light up nicely.

Haha, that's awesome.

I've been compiling all sorts of stuff for the next two years when I'll have to replace my MacBook.

It's going to be so fun wasting money making it look awesome.

I wish there was a cheap touchscreen mod 🙁
 
Minus a vote from "Keep It," I thought we were voting as to whether we liked this or the way it comes from Apple. I would fix it, as the first image has too much blue and it just seems off, I like the vintage look better.:apple:

he was asking if he should keep the true vintage or the slightly different color order, which nobody seemed to get, but good decision, I would do that as well
 
I am pretty happy with the results. After taking it apart the second time, I am confident with the mod.
