Hi,

I have my iPhone's personal hotspot on all day connected to my mac via wifi.
I never used to have any issues until I updated to IOS 6 a few months ago.
After that I had a lot of problems connecting, I would have to switch off, switch on, etc then somebody suggested reset network settings so I tried that and
hey presto, it fixed the problem, well almost :(
2-3 times a day the internet stops working, it is still connected to my iPhone but it dosnt work so I have to reset network settings on my phone again which
is a pain in the ass.

Anybody else having issues?
Any ideas how to fix this?

Regards,

Jeff

At the iPhone hacks section.
The personal hotspot shuts down after a while cause of inactivity in order to conserve battery. If nothing is connected or theres no data being used for a while then it turns off.
Its by design, not much you can do on your end besides turn it back on when you need to connect again.

Hi,

I can't just turn it on, it stops working and the only way to get
it working is to reset network settings in settings.

Kindest,

Jeff
