Keep losing sound from Finder and iChat

I keep losing sound from iChat (Message sent & Received) (Audio and video chat sounds still work fine) and the Finder (Trash sounds and the sound you get when you move / copy things). But iTunes keeps playing just fine. I tried restarting the coreaudio process but it still didn't fix it.

Have you tried the old trick of opening and closing Garageband? It could be messed AudioMIDI settings. 🙂
