Not really an iPhone question...is it possible to keep an ATT phone number without service for a small fee? I have a work & personal phone. I'm considering canceling my personal phone but I want to keep my number. I am not looking to port my number to GV or any other VOIP. I would rather keep it with ATT. They have the best service in my area so if I ever reconnected my personal phone, it would be ATT.

The only way you keep the number is when it being used. You could transfer that number to a smaller phone. Something like a $40 flip phone.

I would keep the personal phone and number for privacy. Remember what you see on the business phone you boss can see. Well if you are the boss then it won't be an issue.

No, you cannot get AT&T to save your phone number with no service.
You either port it to gv or some other carrier or it gets released and anyone could get it.
