I have a bit of a dilemma so I obviously thought the best place to ask for advice was on MacRumors LOL. I've decided to switch to Android from my aging iPhone 14 (battery is shot) as I'm not keen on the new iOS 26 look and aren't locked in to any Apple-specific features.

I recently managed to buy a brand new Pixel 10 Pro (128Gb) from EE in the UK for £499 - no contract, factory unlocked. Came with an offer for free Pixel Buds and PixelSnap charger, which I have claimed.

Just after it arrived a retailer was selling the "refurbished" OG Pixel Fold 256Gb in Porcelain for £355. Couldn't resist so grabbed one and it came yesterday - like new, no marks or scratches. Wouldn't believe it has been used (if it has).

Now I have a decision - I don't want or need two phones so which would you guys keep/sell? I'm torn between the form factor/utility of the OG Fold and the newer specs/durability of the P10 Pro. I would probably sell one or the other on. Thoughts?

I guess it depends on how much you like the Fold...if you like it and it is good, I would probably lean towards keeping that one.

If OS featured support and security patches are important to you, then i'd go with the 10 Pro. It will get up to Android 23. You also got free Buds and charger. That to me is the best value.

Will 128gb be enough for you over the next few years?

It's a very nice form factor, more of a passport style similar to what the folding iPhone will apparently be like. Having said that, the durability concerns are real. This is officially a 3 year old phone now. Not going to lie - the inner screen breaking makes me nervous.

True, but I'd probably end up switching out for something else within a couple of years anyway. I will also get to keep the buds and charger regardless.

Yeas, no big deal. I almost always go for base models as I have 5Tb Google Drive and 1Tb OneDrive sorage anyway. Phone is just for apps, no raw video or anything crazy.

Both have pros and cons and I simply can't justify keeping them both on reflection as selling either would mean hundreds of pounds back in my account. Decisions, decisions!

How easy is it for you to switch between phones? I currently swap out my eSIM between a Samsung Fold 7 and my Pixel 10 Pro XL and enjoy both phones. It would be kind of cool to just keep the original Pixel Fold till it's end of life.

If theres no warranty available for the OG Pixel Fold... then I'd suggest keeping the Pixel 10 Pro. I'm full on board the foldable train, but I always recommend purchasing warranty because of how its designed.

Currently have warranty on my Fold 6 (bought at launch)... decided to go the monthly route, but haven't had the need to make use of it since no damage happened. Despite the public criticism of durability... it can be dependable based on my usage, but there could be rare situation something happens.

SIM not a big issue but don't want to manage two phones if I'm honest. But it is an option.

Pixel 10 Pro comes with manufacturer/Google/retailer warranty as brand new. Fold has a 12 month refurbished warranty from retailer.
