Picked up a SE last night for the gym.. Carrying the 7+ during a workout is a PITA !

It is, indeed, a pretty slick little device!

Having said so, I do really like my LG V20 and Note 5 also! I don't think I could just stick with one OS w/o getting utterly bored!

If the performance of the pixel was decent, I'd consider suggesting it. Many tests and reviews mention the nice OS but inability to run some games and apps, which I think would be more of an issue in a year or two (even though it's one now).

I decided im selling my Nexus and sticking with my iPhone. This is coming from a former "anti-Apple" Android fanboy lol
I really can't do the poor quality Android stuff anymore. The 5X is NEW and has been riddled with issues like ridiculous battery life, poor build quality-loose wiggly buttons, software issues and increase even afraid to upgrade to the latest software for fear of a permanent boot loop!)
Using a 5C (old I know but I obtained it for free) but I hope to upgrade to an SE soon. Just a little short on cash at the moment.
Just wanted to shout out to the community here. Everyone has been nice, welcoming and supportive. I've been on other forums and can't say I've received the type of support like on here. So thank you. Now I start my :apple: days again lol

SE is a much better phone than 5X yes.

But I will also suggest that in the future get a quality android phone instead a cheap built device like the 5X...it makes a world of a difference. The Pixel or the S7 (my personal fav Droid right now) is a completely different experience from the 5X, for example.

iOS does have much better OS and software support , no doubt about that though.

Apple and Google is making things more similar for each year. We've gotten to a point where the flagships from both companies even have similar builds and both have a minimalistic and easy-to-use interfaces.

However, nothing beats Apples all round stable and realiable package imo. I haven't tried or even seen a Pixel yet, because they're not available in my country, but my sister has a Nexus 6P which has major issues with 4G network connection at times. Also, it doesn't feel as fast as my 6S+ anymore.

I'm sure some of you have only great things to say about the 6P, but in my experience, Android in general comes with very mixed usability.

My Note 3 had big issues with standby battery life, sometimes draining over 30% overnight and sometimes only 2%. It's just not consistent enough for me. That's why I headed back to iPhone and I'm not switching anytime soon.

This is a great point.

I think (and will maintain) that android just does some things functionally which are better than iOS, for instance the implementation of widgets is much better as is the customization of the OS or themes (on some devices this is an awesome, awesome feature)

That said, when it comes to dependability, nothing beats iOS. It just functions in a stable and reliable way, and if there are issues customers face, apple has much better customer support (even if the answer is you need to replace your phone for a fee...that is much better than doing nothing)

I find iOS archaic at times and there are tons of features I wish apple implemented in their phones and on iOS, that I think offer superior experiences to what they currently offer.

But that's just personal nitpicking and ultimately they have devices that you don't spend your waking days being frustrated about 'cause of how stable the OS and hardware are in conjunction.

Love both, but...

Nothing in "mid-size" 5.1/5.2" phone SE and 7 or 6S I found to be too small.
I got use to wireless charging on Samsung and PRIV.
"soft" touch home button instead of a physical button.
Android with its 3 action symbols at screen bottom and not having to use force or need to double click is wonderful.
Ability to "go back" to last app or screen or path you followed.
Google photos easier and better features.
Apple, having to OK modifying cropped photo? Really? extra step with lots of photos.

I like Safari Reader Mode and feels like a safer Web browser. I have apps that are only on iOS, others that are more polished. Small things. Glad to see Apple pushing security and tighten credentials.

It would certainly be a stale stagnant sector if we all liked the same phones. ;)

After using iPhones from the launch of the 4 up to the 6 Plus and not being drawn to the 7 I decided to try out the Samsung Galaxy s7 edge from this March.

For my wants and needs it ticks all boxes. The customisation on this thing is off the chart.

It took a short while to adjust how I use it such as different Ui etc.

Happy days.
My latest iPhone was the 6-plus, now 2+ years old, and it works fine. Like you, I wasn't impressed with the 7 / 7+ (no headphone jack, cosmetically almost identical to the 6 / 6S lines). There was a good deal on buying the new LG V20 flagship, which has 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage, a great camera setup, and a fantastic set of 4 DAC's for its sound output (which I could test out with the free headphones - $150 MSRP - that I can plug into THE HEADPHONE JACK), as well as <drumroll> a REMOVABLE BATTERY. Anyway, the main thing I like about iPhones is their ease of interfacing with my iMac and iPad. Once the battery begins to go bad on my iPhone, I'll probably opt for a newer model iPhone that might be available by then. If it wasn't for that, I'd probably be happy sticking with Android as a main communication device.

I'm so sad because I didn't follow iPhone developing and use previous models.
I will never back to Androids. As heavy user of PC and hard core gamer who is 12h at least daily with Windows OS iPhone is so nice refresh for me and give me everything I want. Using PC and cell phones based on Windows could become monotonous, from other side Windows and Android phones are not such defference as Windows and iOS, and it suites me.
For office usege and little kids I would use iOS again, and some other Apple device.
Because it's not good too small kids immediately attack on games, and play hours, best first to learn more serious things and gaming in free time. Apple is perfect from that side.
Because of that iPad and iPhone are perfect for me but in same time and I will be hard core gamer whole life.

iPhone 7s would be excellent for me, some 128GB version.
Battery last shorter on iOS 10 than on iOS 9.
For me iOS 9 default for my iPhone SE was great 9.3 I think, but iOS 10 have some improvements I like.
Rise to wake, Dark Theme for Clock, etc...
