Keeping it clean

Recently jailbroke my phone and have been going through tons of changes and deletions of programs and downloading new and then deleting more.... My question was do these leave behind anything that will end up slowing down my ip4 and if so is there a tool that I could use to remove the unused left overs? Also while I am posting I remember reading about one but I cant remember the name of the program to backup your entire iphone cydia apps and all so you can restore them if its needed anyone remember the name of it?

Personally I try to stay with packages I know work and just things I need. The more you try to install alot of stuff the more issues you might have.
