So disappointed with Ultra 4, currently have the 3 and I see absolutely nothing that is a wow factor to get the 4.... (Yawn)

I don't think it is intended to any of us with an Ultra 3 unless you really want those new AI features (frankly I would turn them off right away, I don't need my Watch coaching me or telling me what I should do)

No, John said that you must upgrade and have no choice. He's going to be looking out to see your transaction go through.
But really, I don't think it's a big deal. Apple can never win. Too few features and people complain that there is no reason to upgrade. Too many new features and "mY lASt Year'S WaTcH IS ObSOletE!!!"
I still have the U1 and decided to keep. Does everything I need AND still looks like the latest model 😂

I am leaning on keeping my AWU3. $430 trade in value is WOW. $369 + tax is not bad for a new Ultra. So, what do we get... all day heart rate, better heart rate sensor that does well against competition. 8 more hours of battery life despite this all day HR and Siri stuff. New chip for future proofing is nice.
I'd turn off the Siri recall and the all day HR doesn't interest me - so I'm thinking I might be able to get another day of battery life if I do this... but is that worth $369 + tax and a $40 Verizon wireless device upgrade fee?

well, tell you what, posted this already in other thread so if you've read ... ignore me
I ordered a U3 black w/green ocean band on Labor Day, with $305 trade-in for my U2, shipping showed Sep 14-16 (never understood why) ...
Today, my order status page was updated with a U4 black with green ocean band, with the same trade-in value (today U2 trade-in is $260), so, I'm getting a U4!
Once I get it, I will be teasing you for several months about the battery until you finally cave in and get the U4 ... ROFL
as for the VZW fee, I'd call them and tell them to wave it, that's a pathetic fee. Don't you do this on device and they don't even do anything?

My wife and I aren't upgrading our iPhones so I was thinking - for my birthday (like last year) - I can justify ~$400 for one of my most favorite Apple devices haha.
And yes, 8 - 12+ more hours of battery life.....
They don't refund the $40 anymore - they used to (especially for large family plan long time subscribers like myself). lol. The moment you add a new IMEI - bam, $40.
And damnit, now I'm heading to the website.

I'm upgrading from 3 to 4. Already placed the order with Apple and trading in my AWU3 for $430. I did the same from AWU1 to AWU2 to AWU3. I workout every single day for more than 3 hours so any little improvement in metrics or health sensors is welcome for me. Not to mention that I also wear a Garmin FR970 so any battery life improvement in the AWU4 is welcome.

so when I switched to VZ earlier this year I was talking to the agent on the phone and I said "you're not gonna charge me that activation fee, right?", and he responded I will waive that for you. and eventually they did.
And my Ultra is not on a cellular plan as I just don't see the benefit for me for that $10 or so charge (they offered me half price), I have my iPhone with me practically 100% of the time

so you got the natural Ti? I had the U1/2 in that color so I needed black. My SBSS S4 was from that perspective the nicest watch I've owned. Black will pop with my favorite color bands (yellow, orange, ocean blue and now the Neo green, all ocean bands)!
Congrats on yor purchase, you will not regret it!

I'm pretty pale so my wife tells me the black one doesn't work for me. She knows style, I don't so I take her word for it. Also all my bands are for the natural titanium Ultra - so that works.
Best watch I've ever had - and only going to get better 🙂. Looking forward to your review when you get it!

I just checked and the trade in on the Ultra 3 is higher than I anticipated.
Still not going to do it, but that doesn't help me decision any.

I'm still 50/50 on this. I want the better battery life but $400 is a lot of money. Yeah the trade in was probably the biggest determining factor on me doing this (battery #2 and hr sensor #3).
We'll see if I can keep from cancelling this. lol. My indecisiveness is not getting better these days. lol

One of my sales guys at Best Buy might by my 3. That’s the only way I’ll upgrade.
💯 I’m keeping my ultra 2, nothing compelling enough to upgrade. The watch band colors across the board (e.g., ultra, regular AW) are the worst I can remember. A good year to save some money!!
Going from U3 to U4. Trade in is $390. I workout everyday and like the improved heart rate/HRV, etc.
