Can it hurt my phone ?
I use my iPhone 11 Pro Max as a bedside alarm clock every night. I have done that with every phone I've owned since 2009. The screen is on for about 6 to 7 hours each night. However, the clock app I use is a dark blue digital clock on a black background.

Note that, I have placed all my phones on charger at night when I do this. I take them off charger in the morning when I get up.

Before my 11PM, it was my Pixel and before that my 6s+. I still have both phones and both of them function perfectly. In fact, it took my 6s+ six years to get the battery low enough in health to replace.

I've never had any issue with this. Right now I even use my old HTC Touch Pro as a desk clock. Screen is on for hours a day. But by this point the replaceable battery is poor, so it's connected to my Mac Pro for power.

I think it would affect the screen if you leave it on the same display 24/7. Whilst modern OLED displays don’t tend to have burn in problems I think if you leave it on the same screen forever you would get some burn in. Also it will knacker the battery and I think the phone would be slower and less efficient if it’s not getting any down time. Even though there are background processes going on in sleep mode it’s still not firing at 100%.
