Keeping 'Stickies' open but not showing in dock

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to know if there was any way of keeping 'Stickies' open but without it showing in the dock.

For some reason seeing the stickies icon there is annoying me. Perhaps maybe just moving it so its on the menu bar on top of the screen instead?

Create a transparent icon file and replace the Stickies icon with it.
