In its case.
Now that I’ve seen the complete specs for the iPhone 15 detailed at GSMArena, it looks like there’s a couple of nice improvements over my 13. The 15’s cameras look awesome, I like the faster processor, but I’m a little ambivalent towards the change to USB-C from the Lightening. However, they are similar enough that I think I’m sticking with my trusty ol’ 13. The 13 works well enough that I find it difficult to justify the 15s cost. I’ve had the 13 for 18 months now, and perhaps it will go a full 5 or 6 years; my 8 Plus lasted 4 years, and it was still a monster when I bought the 13.

Anyone else keeping their oldie but goodie, now that the specs of the 15 are detailed?

Yeah, I think I may stick with my 13 Pro Max but upgrade my Apple Watch from Series 3 to Ultra 2, think that will be my big jump. :)

Waiting to see what the reviews say though before I make a final decision, the specs alone won’t tell the story.

My plan was to always keep my 13 regardless of what the 15 offered the jump from lightning to usb c for now doesn’t matter for me and the 13 does everything I need so no real reason to upgrade

I've been on the 13 Pro for something like 17 months now, and the weight is the biggest let down for me. I upgraded to it for the Pro Motion mostly, but I'm now considering switching to the 15 Pro, or even the 15 non-Pro, even if that's a downgrade screen-wise.

200+ grams really is too much, + the camera system makes it feel unbalanced. Since the 160g iPhone 12 felt like nothing to me, I'm guessing 170g would be a reasonable improvement still.

What do you folks think? I'm on the fence about spending another 600 bucks... Always-on and fancy notch seem more gimmicky to me than anything else.

I moved from an 11 to a 13 mini after the 14's were launched last September. It's my favourite form factor, along with my 5. Never going to get rid of it until there are no more security updates.

It leads me to a question, from someone who has had six iPhones, (going back to the 3GS), doesn't it seem a bit short sighted for Apple to abandon this market? I mean, I could be reliable expected to get a new phone every 2-3 years. I won't now. Not until I have to at least.

I am not really interested in AOD, I have had access to AOD on my Androids since 2016 and even had it on my old Nokia Symbian S60 smartphones back in the 2000s, it’s never done much for me, I usually turn it off, lol!

I am most interested in:
  1. Battery life gains versus 13 Pro Max (when new).
  2. Camera performance gains: the 5x optical zoom is VERY tempting for me as my Mate 40 Pro has this and I would love that on my next iPhone, so I am keen on seeing how big of a jump this is given how it has been implemented by Apple.
  3. RAM, curious to see if they have increased it to 8GB RAM.
  4. A17 Pro heat dissipation, with the move to 3nm, I am curious to hear how it performs under strain especially when using the camera extensively or GPS, I wonder if the titanium frame and aluminium structure will give better heat dissipation versus the stainless steel of the previous Pro Max models.

Could not agree more. Please submit feedback to Apple via their website. This is what I just did.
