Keka AppStore vs Web?

I stumbled onto this app called, Keka. It seems pretty good. I noticed I can buy it from AppStore or download it from the web for free. Do you know what’s the difference between the two versions?

Their website states that there is no difference and that the App Store version being paid is to support development, but one can download the free version from their website and donate via PayPal if you want to support the development.

It's an excellent tool. I've used the web downloaded version off and on and they do updates quite often. I should probably donate.
