Kensington Slim Blade Mouse question

I am using a Kensington Slim Blade mouse with my MacBook and recently the track ball has stopped working (in any application). I tested the batteries and they are ok. The left and right buttons work ok, just not the track ball (it is similar to the one on the Mighty Mouse). I recently upgraded to 10.5.8, but it started just before that. Any thoughts?

If you are referring to the mouse on the image, then its garbage. I bought one from amazon and the scroll ball stopped working the very first day. Returned the thing back.

Interesting. I purchased mine for $20 from Circuit City's going out of business sale, so don't have much invested. My scroll ball lasted since February, so I guess I am lucky.
