I’m Yunus İşlegel, the independent developer of Kept.
I know the Mac already has plenty of clipboard managers. Kept came from a slightly different problem: I would copy something and then immediately need to change it. A screenshot needed cropping or markup, a video needed trimming, or a PDF needed a small correction. That usually meant opening another app, exporting the result, copying it again, and returning to what I was doing.
Kept combines clipboard history with local editors for copied text, screenshots and images, videos, and supported PDFs. After editing, the result can be pasted or exported directly. It also includes a menu bar quick panel, search and filters, sessions, and pinned items.
There is no account and no cloud storage. Clipboard content is processed and stored on the Mac, and the interface is localized in seven languages.
Kept has a usable free tier. Pro is an optional one-time $19.99 purchase; there is no subscription. It is not meant to replace Acrobat or a full video editor. The goal is to handle the smaller edits that interrupt an everyday copy-and-paste workflow, and some complex or protected PDFs remain outside its editing scope.
I originally expected this to remain a small side project, but after losing my job I decided to finish it properly and see whether it could become sustainable.
