Kernel Panic 10.6.7 please help

    When I try and view a movie in dvd player via DVD share my computer goes in the kernel panic but only on my MBP!


    I tried the same thing on the Mac Mini and it was fine!

    Error log was

    Any ideas whats making this happen?

    DVD player is causing the panic.
    its due to your intel HD graphics card, this could be the GPU itself or memory, anyhow, switching to the dedicated card should prevent the issue from forming - you might still want to have someone take a look at your MBP tho!

    edit: try playing it in vlc.

    bloody hell i hope its not my MBP its only 2 weeks old! :eek:

    Does it matter i am using gfxcardstatus to force the intel HD GFX?

    That could very well be the problem. I'd try disabling gfxCardStatus or set it to Automatic and then try playing a DVD using DVD Player again, it may be trying to switch to the dedicated graphics processor.
