hi everyone, today I experienced a kernel panic (this is the first time its happened) on my macbook pro 2.4ghz 2GB Ram I bought in late June of 08'. I was surfing the web in firefox with no other applications running. I restarted and resumed surfing in firefox the very top part of the screen near the menu bar darkened a bit, like it was about to have another kernel panic and then it froze, restarted again, it did the same thing. Right now haven't had anymore issues but I haven't used firefox since. Could firefox have caused something? Anyway hope someone could give me some advice? I'm already planning on doing the Apple Hardware test later.

The hardware test is a good start. Also think about a fresh install of firefox (maybe corrupted app files) and even a permissions verify.
