    Hi there,

My computer has rebooted quite a few times over the past few weeks, mostly over the past 4-5 days.

Some times it looks like a real kernel panic (screen goes dark like blinds, says you must restart), one time it went light grey and said the same thing) and a few times it's just rebooted on it's own, no message on the screen or anything.

It might be worth noting that since the 13th:

I had a backup drive fail - which I thought was a hardware error, but Techtool 7 proved it was not. I had to unload 1 TB of stuff off of it per carbon copy cloner suggestion, format, and put it all back. Works fine now. Machine has rebooted-panicked with and without that drive connected.

I thought it might be a 'reboot just after sleep thing', but the one that happened 5 minutes ago was after a few hours of work, I just ejected the drives and was heading to bed.

Last week on the 24th, I upgraded Lion to Mountain Lion while I had some down time. At that time the reboots were not serious (I didn't notice a pattern), otherwise I wouldn't have upgraded. The string of reboots didn't start then, started a few days later - 26-27th.

I ran techtool 7 two nights ago on this mac pro and everything passed. I didn't do a surface scan of the 4 internal drives.

I've posted the kernel panic below.
Mac Pro 3,1 - 12 gig of memory, 4 internal hard drives, 4 external drives hooked up via e-Sata card, 1 fw and 2 usb drives.
Anything else I need to provide? Thank you for your help!

com.paceap.kext.pacesupport.snowleopard 5.9.1 concerns me. I think that's something to do with Avid Media Composer and licensing, that's the only thing I can think of for that. (Avid Media Composer 7.0.3, wiped (not just uninstalled) from Lion before upgrading to Mountain Lion, and a fresh Avid MC install after upgrade).

It appears as if your eSATA card driver is causing the panic. Try removing it and run for a few days and see if it panics. I know that's not ideal, as you won't have drive storage, but it seems to be the issue. Make sure the driver is up to date as well.
