    Good day,

My early-2011 MBP8,2 suffered a kernel panic when I turned off Internet Sharing on my Mac.

    What gives?

Is the issue repeatable? That is turning the file sharing back off and on, causes KPs?

I'd not be worried if it was just an isolated event.

    Nope, it's not reproducible.

But I'm thinking that it could be the first symptoms of Radeongate on my MBP.

Remove the Symantec software from your OS X installation. I think that helps.

Thanks, I'll do it today :)

Many other users have complained about Norton's products on OS X before, but I didn't know it could crash my system.

I think most on here would agree that Symantec/Norton products number was up over a decade ago. They no longer serve any useful purpose other than provided jobs at foreign customer support centers. So unless it is your mission to provide support for third-world nations, other than our own. Please do not use Symantec products.

I live in New Zealand, and we sympathise with third world countries. We believe that they have an equal right to gain financial support.

I have no issue with third-world nations having a right to work, but back here in the USA there are many people who would like those jobs as well. It is no fun working 60 hours a week to support two cats.
