Hi folks,

I have an iMac Late 2012. Today it just crashed and doesn´t start anymore. I always get an kernel panic:

As I understand it, has something to do with the storage (may be the SSD or HDD)?!
I already checked the RAM. That seems to be ok.

Also tried:
Shift+S
PRAM Reset
CMD+R
Disconnected from power

Is there any other thing I could do by myself?

Thank you

Regards,

Dhalsim

I see that you tried everything but safe mode, however, I don't think that will work either if Single User mode didn't. Do you have a Fusion drive in that machine? You might need to make an appointment with the genius bar at your local Apple Store, but first try this: If you have a bootable external hard drive, attach it to the iMac via USB and see if you can boot with it.

Hi chscag,
Thanks for your help!
I tried safe mode, didn´t work. Same krenel panic.

I will try to use a bootable usb drive.

Also, disconnect all external peripherals (other than the keyboard and mouse) before booting to see if that makes a difference.

Hi,
Yeah, tested that, but doesn´t help. I made an appointment at an Apple Store now.
Lets see what they say. Unfortunately it the iMac has no more guarantee. :/
