I can't use the apple support communities as my apple id won't let me log in, so I made another which also won't sign in. So I am now here!!

My problem is I bought this from a friend

    http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=8C4DD5E1A5CA7304be

Where as this is what crucial recommend

    http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/lis... Core 2 Duo (13-inch DDR3) MB990LL/A Mid-2009

I am now getting these http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3742

Now I could just put my old 2GB RAM back in, but I was wondering if I could solve the problem rather than buying more from crucial?

    Thanks for any info.

Also Hi I will probably drop in from time to time.

Buy a new set of RAM sticks that are compatible with your model MBP.
