Looks like maybe an issue with your graphics chip. Is this machine a 2011-vintage MBP, by any chance?

If I had to guess I'd say your nvidia discrete graphics is at issue. Can you get it booted to the point where you can switch off "automatic graphics switching" in Energy Saver in System Preferences? If you disable it and it stops the kernel panic, that's another data point (though if the graphics chip is bad it still may kernel panic even with the discrete graphics disabled).

I can't seem to find that option in energy saver.

I too concur that the GPU is the cause of the kernel panics. What size Macbook is that?

Add another voice to those concurring. I had the same model MBP and it gave me the same issues. Ultimately the whole logic board had to be replaced, due to faulty GPU.

Are you near an Apple Store? I would suggest booking a Genius Bar appointment, and printing this out and bringing it to them. Let them know you were totally unaware that there was a repair program in place for this model, and it definitely appears that you are affected now. Be polite. With any luck, they'll take pity on you and do the repair on their dime, even though you're most likely more than three years past your purchase date. It's a $700+ repair otherwise.

And if you do get it fixed, I would start saving some cash, maybe sell that MBP and gett a newer one. Despite what the repair program says, it's not a "small number" of mid-2010s affected; it's all of them. The graphics card is defective by design, and replacing the logic board only buys you some extra time before it happens again... probably in another 3-4 years unless your usage habits change, but it will happen again.

That would be why you can't find the setting to change the graphics in Energy Saver. You only have one GPU, the NVIDIA GeForce 320M. And it appears to be failing or causing problems.

The "good" news is the repair may be cheaper now - my 2011 MBP needed repair for a similar problem twice. First time would have been $700, and the most recent time they quoted me $300. (Luckily I got both taken care of by AppleCare, even though it had expired a month earlier in the second case).
