Does the kernel panic happen often? If you've been using your mac for quite a while with no problems, then you may not have to do anything. Only if you start having repeated panics, you can consider the following:

Be sure all your software has the latest updates to go with your version of OS-X (10.6.8) This is most important and includes updated drivers such as the MS keyboard drivers.

You might first try uninstalling the 2 Microsoft keyboard drivers and see if that helps. The MS keyboard should work with the included Snow Leopard keyboard drivers, although there might be a few special functions on it that won't work.

Also, were you by any chance using the Telestream Audio at the time of kernel panic? If so that could be your culprit.

Soundflower is also a possible cause and could be removed to try and solve the issue.

VPN software has also been known to cause problems with Snow Leopard. But you can first try the others before removing your LogMeIn Hamachi VPN software.

Looks like we were both editing our responses at the same time... :)

Before removing anything, you can restart in Safe Mode, which will remove some old caches and do some cleaning and maintenance routines. You do this by shutting down your Mac and then rebooting while holding down the Shift key on your keyboard until you see the start-up screen with the progress bar.

It may take a few moments while it runs the routines. Then once it reaches your normal desktop, shut down and reboot normally. This could help your iMac to run smoother and faster.

If you're still getting kernel panics after this, you can remove the MS drivers for the keyboard by clicking on your hard drive and going to Library > Preferences, and looking for the .plist files that say microsoftkeyboard, and microsoftkeyboardUSB, and drag them to the trash (they may be in another folder here). You would then have to restart the imac.

For the Applications like Soundflower, you can find the .app in the application folder which can be dragged to the trash. Then search in the above mentioned location for the plist files and trash them also.

Just be careful not to trash any other plist files. You could also drag them to a USB thumb drive or external drive before deleting them for possible re installation if they don't solve your problem.

Home is everywhere and nowhere.

I would not do anything for now, just look if it happens more, if you get the same Kernel Panic with the same log I would recommend you to remove/uninstall logmein/Himachi first, I have seen more panics with this one, I also remember the same first few lines in the Panic log, so, don't remove anything until it happens again and if it does don't uninstall anything except what I said above.

OK Thanks but is software the only posible issue or could hardware also be the culprit?

If it hasn't been happening often, it could be something as simple as a corrupt file in a cache. That's why cleaning them out with a Safe Boot could help. The logs seem to indicate software.

Based on the panic message, it's almost certainly software.

It looks like you're running 10.6.8. Have you applied the latest security updates?

Other than applying the security update (if needed) I also recommend not doing anything unless it happens again.
