I have a 2009 17" MacBook Pro. The last two nights I shut it off it had a kernel panic and rebooted. It's done this a few times in the past when I shut it down as well but I disregarded the occurrences. They have ONLY happened during a shut down. I can't figure out what the problem is; is my computer just getting to the point where it's old & going bad? Is it software related? If anyone can shed some light on what might be causing this to happen I'd appreciate it!
