Hi, I currently am using a 15" MacBook Pro, running 10.4.11. Recently, I got a kernel panic. While somewhat knowledgeable about technology, I was unfamiliar with what exactly a kernel panic is. I now know basically what they are, but I do not know if they (or their causes) can hurt my computer, or information. I have the panic.log file, which means nothing to me. Can someone tell me if these are harmful, and if so, what I can do to prevent them. Also, I am posting the log from the latest kernel panic (they do not happen very often), in hopes that someone might be able to tell me what the source of it was. Thanks a lot for your help!!!

That's an ATI Graphics problem. Make sure you have all updates for your system. Repair permissions then re-boot.

If it continues it could be a failing graphics card. Take it in .
