Resolved Key repeat rate issue

I'm still settling into my new MBP and just now i went to make the repeat rate faster, I changed the two sliders and closed the window. This had no effect, so I opened it again and adjusted them to the original positions, only now they seem to be stuck on the new, never repeat? and I adjust the sliders to make that change bit to no effect, i can't go even back to the original slow repeat rate.😡

any suggestions people?

EDIT: Appears to have fixed after a reboot.
