# key???

hi guys. i use a macbook C2D. i have no idea how to configure a # key. everytime i use #, i have to go into WORD > SYMBOLS > COPY > PASTE....

does anyone know a shortcut to the # key?? for example shift 2...

Um... do you have the keyboard's locale as UK or something like that? Under the US keyboard it is Shift + 3... I don't remember exactly for the UK keyboard...

Apparently it is the ~ key without pressing Shift.

my keyboard is UK and it alt + 3

This is quite a handy widget for things like that.

In the German kbd, there is a '#' key left to the enter key. Alt+3 produces the '¶' symbol, and shift-3 '§'. Very strage. Btw, where is the '@' there ?, here is Alt+l (lower case L), braces are the most frustrating. I was using previously the swiss-german kbd, and the german one is totally different in that regard😕
