keyboard appears and won't go away

Not sure what I am doing to get this to appear but on my 6+ in the last 3 days I have had a keyboard appear on the bottom of the phone and freeze in place, have to reboot the phone to get rid of it, can't swipe to get it to go away nothing works.

any advice

This has happened to me when I opened quick reply for a text message. The message thread quickly disappeared and the keyboard was left open before I could even start typing a reply. Only thing to get the keyboard off the screen was a reboot. Now I don't use quick reply.

I feel like iOS 10 has so many bugs that need to be worked out still.
