Keyboard backlight not working

Hi,

The backlight stop working for some reason. I have reseted SMC and NVRAM twice. It did work for like an hour, but after I woke up the MBP from sleep, it stop working again.

Any solutions? Do I have to reinstall OS? Or hardware issue?

Try reinstalling system but it could be hardware issue and you have to take it to Apple Store.
Have you experienced faster battery discharge?
If it is hardware related issue, they replace keyboard, touchpad and battery.

Its a brand new laptop, latest Mac OS. 10 charges in total. It works from time to time. Sometimes it does work, I can change it manually, and it will auto deem. But, it will stop working for no reason as well.

Sounds like you have done everything an end-user can do. It is new, might as well bring it back to Apple.

Is your room dark? I don’t think the backlight works if ambient light is sufficiently bright.
