I noticed that when you log in during the boot process, the keyboard is not backlit. This kind of sucks in low light situations. Is there a way to make it come on when you turn on your computer?

I haven't found a way. A while back some other forum members claimed that their keyboard backlights did work during login but I never found out what caused the difference between what they saw and I did.

I did some research, and it turns out if you have FileVault encryption enabled, the backlight and Touch Bar will not function until you log in. Seems stupid to me that you can just light up the keyboard so people can see where to put their fingers, but I can deal with it if I know my information is safe.
