Keyboard backlight

each key has its own LED light compared to the old style of just an entire backlight for everything. It looks much better, but is possible they could be slightly different brightnesses. I doubt it is really that noticeable if they are off.
It really does look so much better. Someone posted a picture showing a side by side of the old style vs. the new style.....night and day.

I occasionally glance at (now my wife's) 13 rMBP. The light coming from outside the keycaps now look distracting to me.
The new setup is very clean. I do notice some unevenness with some of the keys, particularly the ones with long text like "command". It doesn't bother me because the only time I notice it is when I read about it here!
It will not be an issue for most people. Maybe not the case for serial returners.
