I LOVE YOU.I think that the keyboard clicks are obnoxious. That was the first thing I turned off when I first got my phone. On a phone with a loud clicky keyboard, like a BlackBerry Curve, the clicks aren't anywhere near as loud as they are on the iPhone. They are supposed to be a small amount of feedback that you've hit a key, not to be overly annoying.
Perhaps that was a purposeful change by Apple? I hope so.Before when I had 3.0 the keyboard clicks were louder, but now they're not after I upgraded to 3.1. The volume on everything else is still normal. Anyone else?
I frankly don't give a flying ****. I'm not going to sit with a stop watch and time the speed. I use my phone, and it works as expected. Any miniscule difference in speed doesn't matter to me one bitI bet you think 3.1 is the same speed as 2.2.1 too eh? *snicker snicker*
Isn't the fact that the word (that you were typing) appears on the screen confirmation enough that you pressed those keys? Do you really need to hear it? I mean, what else are you looking at while you are typing on your iPhone?I didn't notice the volume. As long as I can hear the click, it doesn't matter as I just need to confirm that I pressed the button.
It does get annoying, but if I'm alone then I like it on. If I'm in a quiet waiting room I put my phone on silent. But, if I'm walking and it's loud I like to have it on so I know I hit the key.Perhaps that was a purposeful change by Apple? I hope so.
The keyboard clicks are annoying. Nothing like sitting in a quiet waiting room to hear the click-click-click of the iPhone keyboard.
Keyboard clicks are for people that would really like to say: "Hey everybody! Look at me! I have an iPhone!"
Well, yes, the word appearing is confirmation, but I guess I just like feedback.Isn't the fact that the word (that you were typing) appears on the screen confirmation enough that you pressed those keys? Do you really need to hear it? I mean, what else are you looking at while you are typing on your iPhone?
EDIT: I read over what I wrote, and I see that it can read as not-so-nice. Instead of figuring out a way to retype it in a nicer way, I just thought I'd state that I'm not trying to be a d*ck; I'm honestly curious about the need for clicks.
