Not sure if its just me.. but over the past few days I have been realizing an interesting shift in the output sound of the built in speakers of a Macbook when the keyboard is covered by the clear KB Cover I picked up at macworld this last winter. I rarely listen to music or audio from the built in speakers, as it's almost always wired to my stereo.. but just recently I've been a distance from that.. doing the usual obsessive compulsive playing around with the thin keyboard skin while waiting for something to load..(rolling half of it up or down.. its a good time).
Anyways, I had just started to notice the difference in sound quality when the skin was lifted off of the keyboard, compared to when resting down over the keys. Result.. I believe it sounds a whole lot better with the cover in place. Without it- more sound comes through the keyboard, resulting in a high ping quality.. with the keyboard skin in place, the sound has a bit of a bass edge to it.. the effect of a slight muting of higher freq. I suppose.
I'm curious if people have similar experiences with other keyboard skins? While the sound effect is a bonus.. the slight impression of the skin on my screen from various oils or dirt don't leave me so happy or bewildered.
