Hi everyone,
I have recently bought a Mac Mini mid 2010 without Apple accessories.
Good machine but it doesn't work with a stanger keyboard (with cable). Mouse is ok (actually).
Any advice? What keyboard brand do you use?
Thanks.

What keyboard (brand/model) did you try?

I have a 2009 mini, at the beginning I used It with a cheap HAMA keyboard (USB with specific Apple keys, numeric pad, italian layout) and worked immediately.

Later I bought the original Apple keyboard (with numeric pad), don't remember the exact model, it has also 2 USB ports and these are really useful).

Now I'm using this keyboard with mini 2018 and the mini 2009 Is placed under my TV set so for this 2009 I use a cheap and wireless Logitech k400 (not designed for Mac but for this setup and my usage it's enough).

Anyway I agree that the best Is still the Apple keyboard (once at home I'll try to report here the exact model but I guess that model is no more sold by Apple)

EDIT: my (old) Apple keyboard is MB110T/B model A1243. The model is dated 2009, I guess it is no more produced/sold.

Apple Aluminum Wired Keyboard A1243 MB110LL/A. It just works forever.
But when it doesn't - like in my case my new 2019 16" MacBookPro does NOT see it - what do ya do?
Already reset NVRAM, SMC and thrown away prefeences and no dice.
It works fine on early 2013 MBP and Mac Mini ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I use a Keychron K1 (Gateron red mechanical switches) with my Mac mini 2018. I have another K1 with the discontinued Gateron yellow switches on a cheap Wintel PC.

I am using a Keychron K8 with a custom built Windows PC. This is the best keyboard I have used since an SGI keyboard with ALPS switches back in the mid-Nineties.

I have the old Apple Keyboard (wired, tenkeyless) with the Chiclet keys as a backup. These days it lives in a closet.
