All iPads Keyboard inputs don't flash

Difficult to describe.

My wife got my an iPad Air 2 for Xmas and I had an IPad 2 until now. I am used to each letter on the on-screen keyboard raising under my finger with each press. However, on this new model, it doesn't. The keys don't even flash.

What am I doing wrong?

This is a video of the letters not turning black when pressed. Old IPad does it and Online videos of the iPad air 2 show it.

I'm worried.
